Privacy
What I collect when you use this site or buy from me, and what I do with it. In short: only what I need to send you your painting, and never sold to anyone.
When you buy something
Your name, email, phone number and shipping and billing addresses, so I can fill and ship the order and send you receipts. Card payments go through Stripe; Stripe handles your card details and I never see them. For a print, your name and shipping address go to my print partner, Prodigi, who print and ship it. For an original, they go to the carrier on the label.
I keep order records for as long as Canadian tax law requires (six years).
When you write to me
If you send the commission form or email me, I get your name, email and what you wrote, and use them only to reply and to work on your commission.
The monthly letter
If you sign up for my letter, your email address is kept by Brevo, the service that sends it. You confirm by email before anything is sent, and every letter has a one-click unsubscribe.
Visits to the site
I count visits with Umami, which doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t record who you are: only things like which pages are read and roughly where from. The site is served through Cloudflare, which protects it from attacks and may set a security cookie. The shop sets cookies that keep your cart working; they’re not used to follow you around the web.
Videos are served from this site, not YouTube, so playing a film doesn’t share anything with a third party.
Where it’s kept
The site and shop run on servers in Canada. Stripe, Prodigi, Brevo and Cloudflare may process data in other countries under their own privacy policies.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete what I hold about you (except order records the tax law requires me to keep) by emailing [email protected]. I’ll answer within 30 days. I follow Canada’s privacy law (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s (PIPA).
