This was a little different. More intuition than accuracy. This was a stylized attempt at capturing the mood as the sun was hitting these clouds in an interesting way. When the colors and light are changing every couple of minutes, it’s more the mood I try to capture, as when I see the light hit the rocks in an interesting way, it’s already changed by the time I mix the colors. This painting was painted en plein air on location. The inspiration is taken from specific moment and was not touched again in the studio. After the paint has dried it’s then varnished with Gamvar varnish for archival purposes.
