Haven Shoreline in high key.
I’ve been trying move my paintings to a higher key, that is – lighter and limited range. I think this is the first piece that accomplished that. Next focus – adding color in the shadows, but staying in the same value range. When the weather drives me inside, I’ll definitely be reading the words of John F. Carlson again. He was a master of color in shadows
